Resilience Yoga

Resilience Yoga was formulated by Laurie Works as a protocol to use with anyone seeking further resilience in their life. It is especially useful for survivors of trauma, but anyone is welcome to attend. Resilience Yoga combines grounding, awareness of physical sensation, and yoga postures to gently bring you back into your body and the present moment. The class is usually a flow-style class, though moves somewhat slower than a traditional flow class in order to promote present-focus. Physical assists will not be provided during the class, in order to facilitate students’ experience of their own bodies.

Laurie has taught Resilience Yoga for The Rebels Project, Positive Impact Colorado, Aspen Pointe Employee Appreciation, Schriever Airforce Base Wingman Day, as a sub at Mt. Carmel Center for Excellence, and as a seva practice at Root Center for Yoga and Sacred Studies.
